SchmatzGut Kitchen - Daycare Catering

A modern standard for healthy child nutrition

The SchmatzGut kitchen represents vegan daycare catering that's more than just a meal. It's an educational contribution to children's healthy development, with a passion for food, responsibility for people and the environment, and scientifically sound quality.

We don't just cook purely plant-based meals. We cook with care, expertise, and a genuine interest in what's good for children. Our dishes are specially designed for the needs of toddlers; they are balanced, freshly prepared, and based on seasonal, locally sourced, and certified organic ingredients, wherever possible.

We prefer locally sourced raw materials, ensure careful handling of food, and process it at optimal ripeness. Where local sourcing isn't possible, we consistently rely on organically certified products, preferably according to the strict standards of Demeter, Bioland, or Naturland.

Our attitude: Open, respectful, suitable for everyday use

Nutrition is always an expression of culture, family, and individual habits. We don't want to convert anyone. Rather, we see our cuisine as an invitation: an invitation to discover new flavors, experience plant-based diversity, and demonstrate that healthy food can inspire, even without animal ingredients.

Of course, the children's home remains the place where the full range of family preferences has its place. Vegan lunches at daycare provide a balanced complement, not a restriction. This allows balance to develop and a natural approach to healthy eating to grow.

Children learn through experience

We focus on playful food education: children should be curious to try different colors, flavors, and textures, and develop a sense of joy in eating together. Within this framework, vegetarian or meat-based meals outside of daycare are not a contradiction in terms, but rather part of a diverse reality of life.

Because that is exactly our goal: to promote a healthy approach to food from the very beginning, with curiosity, mindfulness and genuine joy in life.

Our quality principles:

100% vegan - without compromise

No additives or added sugar

With high-quality omega-3 sources (e.g. algae oil)

With B12-enriched foods (e.g. nutritional yeast)

Gentle preparation in the combi steamer for maximum nutrient retention

Developed with nutritional support
