Safety and freshness – thought through from start to finish

Why quality begins with responsibility for us

In the SchmatzGut kitchen, children's safety always comes first. That's why we take a holistic approach to food safety. From purchasing to delivery, every step follows a clear goal: fresh, healthy, and flawless meals you can rely on.

We know how important it is for families that their food is not only nutritious but also safe. We earn this trust every day through reliable standards, extensive experience, and a respectful approach to food.

Our quality and safety principles:

1. Ecologically produced and carefully sourced
Our vegetables come from organic, extensive farming. We take care to select regional farms wherever possible, whose working practices we know and understand. A trusting partnership is particularly important to us.

2. Seasonal selection and proper ripening
We consistently tailor our menus to the seasons. Whenever possible, we source locally grown vegetables and fruit. This ensures that the produce reaches us with the shortest possible transport routes and at its peak ripeness. Flavor, freshness, and nutrients are preserved to the best of our ability.

3. Processing with clear hygiene rules
Strict food safety guidelines apply in our kitchen. We work according to HACCP standards and rely on clearly defined processes. Surfaces, equipment, and work processes are regularly inspected. Our team is comprehensively trained and pays close attention to ensuring all hygiene requirements are met.

4. Stable temperatures for best freshness
From receipt of goods to delivery, we pay close attention to the correct temperatures. Our cold chains remain stable, and even hot meals are carefully packaged in insulated boxes. This preserves the freshness of the food while protecting it from unwanted germ growth.

5. Selection with responsibility
Whatever we can't source locally from trusted partners, we buy exclusively with organic certification. We prefer products from Demeter, Bioland, or Naturland. Only ingredients of the right origin and quality make it into our kitchen.

6. Training and practical knowledge in the team
Safety comes from knowledge. That's why our kitchen team receives regular training. All employees are familiar with the applicable hygiene regulations and consistently implement them in their daily work. New scientific findings are also incorporated into our training courses, ensuring we're always working at the cutting edge.

Why we make this effort

For us, food safety isn't an additional expense; it's part of our ethos. Providing food for children means taking responsibility. And this responsibility is evident in every step we take. From careful purchasing to nutrient-preserving preparation to timely and safe delivery.

We want parents to have peace of mind. Everything we serve is thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and with care.
